Our feature “Gospel of Ted,” took home the top honors of Best Feature at the North Carolina Film Festival this weekend!
The film follows Ferrari Thunderbird Taylor, who’s hellbent on leaving her dead-end job as a human sign, and moving to the bustling metropolis of Charlotte, North Carolina. Unfortunately, she runs into trouble when her dumbass husband invests all their money into a shady crypto-currency at the behest of a doomsday prophet only known as “Ted.” It’s Q-Anon meets Bitcoin as Ferra tries to get her money back and salvage her reputation.
The short is in consideration at a number of film festivals across the Southeast, and has been selected at:
- The Raleigh Film & Art Festival (where Endangered took home the award for best short last year!)
- The Freedom Festival International (Aug. 18 in West Columbia, SC)
- The Southern Film Festival (Aug. 19 in West Point, GA)
- The North Carolina Film Festival (Best Feature, 2022)
Alex dropped in for a virtual Q&A with the team at the NC Film Festival which you can watch here. Watch to the end for Alex’s explanation of the origins of the phrase “Well Dang!”, and draw a blank on his favorite movie quote.
